Throughout my career, I carry a strong technical foundation (Engineering based) as well as moral and ethical standards. I have successfully managed demanding career requirements with family commitments – and have been always committed to education as a core value. My teaching philosophy approaches teaching math through a natural perspective – linking it with “real life” examples that students can easily identify with. I also hold a vast algebra knowledge base. My work experience is based on my mathematical background, more than 13 years of teaching, developing the curriculum regarding scope and sequence for grades 2nd to 7th and 10 years of effective work in mathematical teaching. My objective in working with students is to consolidate and enrich the math computation, through math language comprehension, developing critical thinking skills, and math practice. I am patient with students, trying to explain the concepts in a way that fits each student learning needs; the goal is to build confidence so the students will enjoy the Math class and consistently improve their performances. One of the most unique attributes that I offer is my ability to teach and practice math through fun, interactive and stimulating games for students. This style has resulted in measurable outcomes even with the less motivated students. Students have demonstrated great affection for me as a teacher – indicative of their connection and effectiveness of the learning process as a valued and fun journey!
