5th/6th/7th Grade

- Pre - Algebra: foundation and enrichment
- Advanced: Algebra refresher practice by using Holt materials and textbook
- Geometry: introduction and geometry practice
- NOTE: Curriculum will be customized based on the recommendation you will provide via the registration form, the above information serves as a general guidance.

**Sample Curriculum for Pre - Algebra****Week 1**- Integers - using integers on a number line, opposites and absolute value

**Week 2**- Using real number properties to add and subtract integers. Application: Solving addition and subtraction equations.

**Week 3**- Using real number properties to multiply and divide integers. Application: Solving multiplication and division equations.

**Week 4**- Translating words into symbols and equations

**Week 5**- Exponents and Powers of Monomials

**Week 6**- Multiplying polynomials by monomials (distributive property)

__Sample Curriculum for Algebra__

**Week 1**- Simplify numerical and algebraic expressions
- Translate phrases into variables and expressions and equations
- Translate simple words problems into equations

**Week 2**- Simplify expressions involving differences
- Use distributive property to simplify expressions
- Multiply and divide algebraic expressions

**Week 3**- Solving equations (using more than one transformation)

**Week 4**- To write and simplify algebraic expressions involving exponents
- Powers of monomials

**Week 5**- Multiply monomials by polynomials
- Multiply polynomials

**Week 6**- Factoring
- Quadratic functions

__Sample Curriculum for Geometry__**Week 1**- Points, lines, planes, angles- notations, symbols, postulates, theorems and proofs

**Week 2**

- Deductive reasonings-If-Then Statements

**Week 3**- Parallel lines and planes-notations, symbols, postulates, theorems and proofs

**Week 4**- Congruent triangles-notations, symbols, postulates, theorems and proofs

**Week 5**

- Congruent triangles-notations, symbols, postulates, theorems and proofs

**Week 6**

- Quadrilaterals-notations, symbols, postulates, theorems and proofs
